Here are the winners of the major awards in the recently concluded 36th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2010) awards night held at the Meralco Theatre..Just a day after the national premiere of all the MMFF movie entries yet we’ve got our hands on some of the results of the still running MMFF 2010 Awards Night.Stay tuned because we are yet to reveal those who got the major major awards for this years Metro Manila Film Festival “Gabi ng Parangal”.
As of the moment, the awards night is aired on GMA 7 (delayed telecast).I haven’t seen any available live stream for the MMFF 2010 awards.Although you may check your tv listings or any pinoy tv websites around.

I haven’t seen ang tanging ina though but the trailer was wacky.However, Ai Ai is dealt with a deadly ordeal that would eventually make the atmosphere melodramatic.That’s where exactly she’ll come out as a best actress.
Of course, nobody has gotten the best actress awards only by doing comedy.This could also mean that nobody will get the best actress award or nomination by doing only drama(which I suppose Rosario mostly had – drama).
Wish ko ngayon 2011 sa GMA7 gumawa naman kayong pang INTERNATIONAL AT QUALITY TV PROGRAMS AND MOVIE at sana huwag na kayong mg recycle ng mga artista sa nga TV Program nakakasawa na pls pls pls marami naman kayong magagaling na artist but palaging si MARIAM R. DINDONG, RICHARD G. AT IBA PA. kaya talo kayo ng ABS. bakit ang ABS luzon, visaya at mindanao at outside the philippines kilala mga artista nila but sa GMA hindi.mas maganda pa ang mga program ng TV5 kaysa sa GMA7.
Tama! Recycled kasi mga artista nila.So flop mostly ang mga movies (even teleseryes).

She’s one of the most versatile actresses in this industry. She definitely deserves to win best actress. TANGING INA MO!– the Best MMFF film I watched so far. (that includes rosario, rpg, lolo jejemon, si agimat at si enteng kabisote, dalaw, shake rattle and roll — the best pa din ung 1, super inday — masmagaling parin si maricel) Seriously people should not recreate old movies like super inday, petrang kabayo, captain barbel.. the old ones are better if you were to compare them. like maricel, rodrick, and edu, Pumapangit ang movies eh. Masmaganda talaga if they were to create more comedy na may halong drama sa mga movies. The type na wholesome tulad ng TANGING INA and Kasal Kasali Kasalo. Maspatok sa takilya yung mga yun. Filipinos are more into comedy than drama so why force the dramatic movies to win when comedy with drama is more favored by most Filipinos. Kaya nga nanonood ng movie– to escape from our boring lives. Tapos lalagyan ng drama. Plus, comedy with drama requires versatility. Mahirap magpatawa kaysa magpaiyak pero having them both. I guess you get my standing ovation.

I am yet to watch Ang Tanging Ina Mo Last na To! And so with Rosario so I cannot really comment on what you’ve stated dear.But if I may ask, may proof ka ba?
*Kris Aquino even hinted on the Buzz na wala na syang pakialam sa mga awards2x na yan! Dalaw can stand up on it’s own in the box office race without even winning an award in the so acclaimed “questionable” MMFF 2010 Awards.

dear just be sure of what ur saying!! of course talagang sikat ang mga talents ng ABS na lumipat sa GMA..kasi naman wlang ibang alam na gawin ang GMA kundi ang mag recycle ng artista..kahit chimay ang role sa GMA ok lang kc nga loser na sila sa ABS. Karylle would be a perfect example..Nung nsa GMA pa siya, ang palaging role nya ay asst. lng ng mga “recycle” na bidang babae esp. sa kanilang S.O.P na show..But look at Karylle now, simula ng lumipat siya sa ABS blooming na ang carreer!!

Plus, with all the drama in the life of Filipinos. Most likely ayaw na ng most ng pinoy ang drama. Ai Ai gives another thing like laughter and at the same time tears. If you were to watch ANG TANGING INA MO, you’d just prolly consider yourself insane (you’ll definitely be crying and laughing at the same time– considering I don’t cry nor laugh as much as when I watched this movie). Her transition from drama to comedy in the movie is what I could say totally amazing. Flexibility is the very characteristic of a great actor. Ai ai has that. She’s really good with transitions so how dare you say that Jenelyn is a better actress than Ai Ai. She deserves the award. Jenelyn is a good actress but she could prolly learn more from Ai Ai or if the genre is drama– Gina Pareno, Cherry Gil, Cherry Pie Picache, Gloria Romero or Maricel Soriano.
I totally agree with you.If I am to iterate, Ai Ai is already a veteran when it comes to acting.She well deserves to become the best actress.On the other hand, Jennylyn’s a good actress, even better for her age but then Jennylyn wasn’t included in the nomination, so we couldn’t really tell.hehe..

Rosario deserves to have received most of the awards. Anyway, I wouldn’t be surprised that it’s way, way down at the box-office race because most Filipino audiences do not have discriminating taste. All they can enjoy is toilet humor.
To the jurors, sorry to say but I believe that your brains should be closed for repairs.
Toilet humor is better than the promiscuity seen in Rosario. Plus, the movie did not just offer toilet humor. You must look deep into the story line. Besides the humor, it also shows the value of Filipino family and how the values of people nowadays affect it. I suggest you look something on it deeper than looking at something rated a little pg13 or prolly 18 to see the very essence of it. Sure, the lighting, sound effects and designs are aesthetically great- no doubt about it. But you do open the eyes of innocent ones to promiscuity and vulgarity– not really good for values. You wouldn’t most likely see your character in a movie like Rosario. Most Filipinos would mostly see themselves in movies like tanging ina and mano po cause they are more based in families, traditions and values. It centered on them that’s why they deserve to win. That’s why it’s a FILM FEST. It’s voted in a subjected manner meaning it’s opinionated so stop whining about people having bad tastes of choosing the said movie to win. It’s not an objective thing. It’s not like it’s totally rated on rubrics that are narrow based like 5 points if the movie has a background music pleasing to the ears, very connected with the theme, makes the audience feel more into the movie, etc… They are not given these rubrics ergo it’s something pretty much affective.
I’m sorry but I think it’s your brain that needs to be repaired. Everybody has their own tastes. The fact that you don’t agree with everyone must mean you have bad taste. That’s how the norm goes. Or you’re just a little unique yourself you eccentric one. I watched Rosario and I wouldn’t say it was a nice movie to tolerate for the young ones like I.

I watched the Tanging Ina, but prior to that-the super late MMFF awards night. In disbelief why Tanging Ina bagged key awards I watched the movie myself. After three malls chock-full of viewers, and finally after the long wait and lines, I figured it then. That was the first comdedy/seriocomical film that made me laugh every 5 minutes and the rest of the crowd. Worth the wait! But what made it very special is the fact that it presented values and lessons in different ways- surprisingly effective! Napanuod ko na lhat ng movie except Jejemon. Awards ceremony is always exciting ang unpredictable, best advice to future entries-Do not set your expectations too high! Jurors have always respective roots for their votes and sensitivity topped it all. Tanging Ina, is something that everyone can relate to and ofcourse, its overall quality deserves applause. And I believe that Tanging Ina was perfectly crafted mainly for the Filipinos to enjoy and the awards just an icing. Well for some they actually tiring themselves after the awards and from there, they weave things all along too late they never consider other eyes.At the end its hard for them to accept others opinions-the majority- or commonly known as REALITY!
Ayan, tuloy..I wanna watch ang tanging ina mo last na to full movie! woot! will watch it as soon as possible.
